SWEGP seeks submissions for rewards for academic work on women and gender between July 2021 and May 2022. Nominations must be received by Friday, May 27, 2022.
Required information and documentation must be received on time. Winners will be announced in November 2022. Nominations for awards such as:
Book Award (scholarly monographs)
Essay Award Editions (critical editions of primary sources)
The teaching and academic communities are encouraged to submit nominations. We may offer prizes in three categories each year. Academic versions have received the Josephine Roberts Scholarly Edition, Teaching Edition, and Scholarly Translation Awards.
Remember that not all three categories will always be rewarded. All editions should be nominated for the “Editions Awards.”
Award for Best Graduate Student Conference Presentation (Edited Collections of Essays, etc.)
Awards for Digital Media, New Media, and Art (Web-based projects, exhibitions, concerts, productions of plays, etc.) Nominations are open for projects running from July 2021 to May 2022, since these initiatives have no defined publication date.
Each issue of Early Modern Women: An Interdisciplinary Journal has the best paper prize. Every year, the Award goes to the journal’s top article. To nominate a book, edition, or collaborative project for the 2022 Book Award, please send the following by May 27, 2022:
