ABEKA HOMESCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS: THE NEED-TO-KNOWS
It is the mission of Abeka Homeschool to support and equip students, teachers, and parents by providing amazing Pre-K through Grade 12 academic resources based upon biblical values. As an education centre with an interest in Christianity, the academy strives to raise students who are both academically astute and religiously upright.
The academy aims for each student, whether at home or in a Christian school classroom, to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually.
FIELD OF STUDY
Most Abeka Homeschool Scholarships can be used for any course of your choice in the university, college, trade school, or community college.
The Abeka Homeschool Scholarships are open to residents of the United States. You can either be a citizen or a permanent/temporary resident who is in the United States legally to apply for the scholarships.
ABEKA HOMESCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS TO APPLY FOR
Every year, HSLDA offers quarterly contests in poetry, art, photography, and essay writing. The contests are open to all homeschooled students who fall between ages 7 and19. Through the contests, HSLDA hopes to offer homeschooled students the opportunity to hone their skills in a fun and creative setting that invites them to think outside the box and be rewarded for excellence.
Up to $500 is awarded to each of the winners.
You are eligible if you are a homeschooled student between 7 and 19 years of age.
The deadline varies. February 1 (Art Contest); May 1 (Poetry Contest); August 1 (Photo Contest); November 1 (Essay Contest).
HOPE stands for “Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally.” It is a scholarship for residents of the state of Georgia who has completed a Home Study program. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have an ACT/SAT score above the 75th percentile, complete 30 semester hours of college coursework, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The award varies.
You are eligible if you have completed a Homeschool program, reside in Georgia, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and have above the 75th percentile in SAT/ACT.
The deadline is the last day of a student’s school term.
The Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is a program that awards recipients a prize of $10,000. It is for Iowa high school juniors and students enrolled in homeschool programs. The program is designed to attract students who are motivated and community-minded. The award honours Herbert Hoover, an Iowa native and the 31st President of the United States. The projects the students propose should demonstrate the values that Herbert Hoover exemplified in his life of public service.
Up to $10,000 is awarded to each of the winners. As a finalist in the program, you are guaranteed to get $1,500.
You are eligible if you are a junior at Iowa high school or you are a homeschooled student.
The next application deadline for the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is 15 March 2023.
In loving memory and honour of Washington State’s most faithful and dedicated homeschool leader, the scholarship hopes to pick out the most qualified candidates based purely on merits. The program is intended for homeschooled students in Washington State who are members of the Washington Homeschool Organisation and plan on enrolling in college
Up to $1,000 is awarded to each of the winners.
You are eligible if you are a homeschooled student in the state of Washington, plan to enrol on college, and are a member of the Washington Homeschool Organisation.
The deadline for the scholarship is 31 March 2023.
This is one of the Abeka Homeschool Scholarships that awards students who are currently enrolled at Nyack College an amount up to $2,000. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have graduated from a homeschool program.
Up to $2,000 is awarded to eligible candidates annually.
You are eligible if you have graduated from a homeschool program and are currently enrolled in a program at Nyack College.
No deadline is specified for the scholarship.
The NCHE Scholarship Program was founded to encourage and reward academic excellence in homeschooling in North Carolina. Since it began in 1998, the program has awarded over $156,000 to homeschool graduates from NCHE member families. NCHE scholars have attended a range of two- and four-year colleges. These include the University of North Carolina, N.C. State, Duke; the U.S. Air Force Academy; Moody Bible Institute and Patrick Henry College, as well as non-degree programs in aviation and missions.
The amount varies.
You are eligible if you are a full-time North Carolina homeschool senior and are a member of NCHE (North Carolinians for Home Education).
The deadline for the scholarship is 31 March, every year.
This program automatically considers you for the scholarship upon enrolment at the school. It is a program that, like the other Abeka Homeschool Scholarships, aims to reward academic excellence in students who have graduated from homeschool programs and are enrolled at Bryan College.
Up to $500 is awarded to each of the winners.
You are eligible if you are a homeschooled student. Should you spend less than two years in the homeschool program, you may be disqualified.
There is no application and there is no deadline for this scholarship.
This is another one of the Abeka Homeschool Scholarships that are awarded upon your enrolment at the college. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have graduated from a homeschool program and be admitted to Central Christian College. The scholarship covers half of your tuition fee.

You are eligible if you graduated from a homeschool program and are enrolled at Central Christian College.
Like the previous scholarship, there is no deadline for this scholarship. This is because you do not apply for it.
TIPS TO WIN ABEKA HOMESCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS
- Ensure you are eligible for the scholarship: Check the basic requirements and the eligible nationality before you apply for any of the Abeka Homeschool Scholarships. This is because there are many scholarships you can apply for at Abeka Homeschool and it helps to know what the specifics are.
- Write a strong essay: When you write your essay for submission, try to give it your best. Make your research. Take your time. However, ensure that when you write the essay, it will please the panel and probably checkmate them into having no other option but to give you the award.
